Getting Started Letter to New Spam Filtering Customers

Congratulations!  Prominent Technologies has activated your new MXLogic Spam and Virus filtering service.
We are a Certified Partner and use the service within our own company. Our desire is to keep you focused on your business and not on your spam!

MXLogic is designed to be user friendly with a secure and reliable approach to spam detection:
1) For your protection, it keeps unwanted email from getting to your machine.
2) For your productivity, it limits your list of spam to review to those emails it considers “medium likelihood” of being spam.

Here’s how it works:

Each user will receive an email every day with the subject “Spam Quarantine Report for yourname@mydomain.com”. This email will show you all blocked emails with a medium likelihood of being spam. If the filter is 100% sure, the spam is denied delivery and is not shown in the list. Most of the detected spam is considered high likelihood. Often, emails that are broadcast to hundreds of people are flagged as medium likelihood.

If you want to see an email that is quarantined in your report (but not always let it through), click the “Release” link next to the email you want and it will come to you. If you click “Always Allow”, the email will be released and will no longer be blocked. This is how senders are quickly added to your “Safe” list.

You can change the frequency with which you receive the spam report by clicking on the link at the bottom that says “To change your Spam Report Settings, click here”. This links you to the web-based portal.

Once in the portal, you can also select a password for your spam account which will allow you to access your quarantine when you are away from your email InBox.

Here's how you access your spam account once you have established a password. From any computer, you can go to http://www.ProminentTech.com/support and click on "Spam Control Portal". Then, enter your email and password. This will allow you to view what is in the quarantine. You can also view your Allow/Deny list.

Remember that the quarantine only holds your mail for 7 days.
